Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries announced April 23 that the state minimum wage will increase 3.3% July 1. Under state law, the minimum wage rises annually based on the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the past year. The new rates will be:
- $16.80 per hour in Portland Metro Area, up from $16.30;
- $15.55 per hour in the Willamette Valley, North Coast, Hood River, Wasco, Deschutes, Jackson, and Josephine counties, up from $15.05; and
- $14.55 per hour in the non-urban counties of eastern Oregon and Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties on the South Coast, up from $14.05.
Employers are supposed to post minimum wage notices at each worksite. New posters will be available for download at oregon.gov/boli by June 1.
