There are few other publications like it. Founded in 1900 by a consortium of trade unions, it’s one of America’s oldest and last remaining labor movement newspapers.
At the Northwest Labor Press, we believe unions are most effective when they have an active membership, an engaged community, and an informed public. Hence our mission: to provide accurate and timely information on the issues that matter most to union members and working people.
Northwest Labor Press is an independent union-supported newspaper founded in 1900. Our print version is mailed twice a month to about 45,000 members of over three dozen local unions in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Our online version has been maintained here since 1997.
