Members of Operating Engineers Local 701 ratified a new four-year contract covering crane operators. The agreement with the Northwest Crane Owners Association runs through Dec. 31, 2029. It provides an immediate increase in compensation of $3.50 an hour retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026. That will be followed by $3 an hour raises on January 1 of 2027, 2028, and 2029.
The terms mirror those in the agreement the local ratified with Associated General Contractors in December. The new contract covers members who work in Local 701’s jurisdiction for Ness Campbell Crane and Rigging, Omega Morgan, Barnhart Crane and Rigging, Maxim Crane Works, and Integrity Machinery Moving.
Local 701 business manager Jimbo Anderson said the crane agreement was overwhelmingly ratified by members in a Jan. 8 vote.
