Northwest Oregon Labor Council needs top officer

Northwest Oregon Labor Council (NOLC) is looking for a new executive secretary-treasurer. Thomas Mosher, who was elected in May to that position, moved earlier this month to Philadelphia to take a new job.

Executive secretary-treasurer is a full-time position leading NOLC, a local council of the AFL-CIO with 76 local union affiliates totaling 53,000 union members.

To be eligible, a candidate must be a union member in good standing and be nominated by a delegate of an affiliated union.

NOLC will take nominations to fill the vacant post at its monthly delegates meeting Monday, Dec. 12. The meeting is normally held the fourth Monday of the month, but in December that would conflict with holidays.
