In ballots counted June 23, workers at a Starbucks in Portland’s Pearl District voted unanimously to be represented by Starbucks Workers United.

The 8-0 vote made the 1102 NW Lovejoy St. store the 17th union location in Oregon, the 10th in the Portland area, and the sixth Oregon store to unionize by unanimous vote. So far, no Portland-area stores have voted against unionizing, and only one Oregon store voted no. As of the latest ballot count, 187 Starbucks workers have cast votes to unionize in Oregon.

In a June 28 ballot count, for a store at 2233 E Burnside Road in Gresham, workers voted 14-3 to unionize, making it Oregon’s 18th union store. Workers at four more Oregon stores are waiting for union elections.
