The national AFL-CIO has released its Congressional scorecard for votes taken in 2025 at aflcio.org/scorecard. Oregon’s two Democratic senators (Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley) and five Democratic representatives (Suzanne Bonamici, Val Hoyle, Andrea Salinas, Maxine Dexter, and Janelle Bynum) all got 100%. So did Washington Democratic senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. Oregon’s lone Republican, Cliff Bentz, got 0%. Southwest Washington Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez got 85%.
The scores were based on votes in the House and Senate that the labor federation had made clear were labor priorities. Those included the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which will cut Medicaid and food stamp benefits; a bill to restore collective bargaining rights for over a million federal workers, rights President Trump had stripped by executive order; and a bill to strike down President Trump’s tariffs on Canada. The rating also counted whether they signed on to a letter demanding the reinstatement of NLRB member Gwynn Wilcox, who was fired by Trump, the first firing of an NLRB board member in 90 years.
