The union representing roughly 8,000 workers at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) finalized a new contract in January.
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 328 members approved the contract, with 4,730 members casting votes and 84% voting in favor of the contract.
The new contract goes into effect Feb. 9 and includes raises totaling at least 10.25% over three years and ratification bonuses of $4,500 for employees working at least half-time and $2,250 for employees working less than half-time.
OHSU and Local 328 reached tentative agreement on the new contract on Dec. 17, but the ratification vote didn’t take place until Jan. 7 to 16.
