The National Lacrosse League Players’ Association announced Nov. 5 that it’s joining the AFL-CIO. That makes it the ninth professional sports union to become part of the labor federation’s Sports Council, which formed in 2022 to build power among professional sports unions.
The union represents about 400 professional lacrosse players on the 14 teams of the National Lacrosse League.
