Northwest Labor Press received Portland Jobs With Justice’s “Enduring Solidarity” award at the group’s annual fundraising dinner Sept. 25.
The sold-out event, held at the Oregon Forestry Center, also honored veteran labor activist Betsy Zucker, a retired VA nurse active with American Federation of Government Employees Local 2157; Communications Workers of America Local 7901, which has bounced back since emerging from trusteeship in 2024; the Federal Unionist Network, a grassroots fightback campaign by federal employees; and Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition, which educates immigrants about their rights.
Well deserved!
