New Seasons workers still don’t have a first union contract after more than two years of union bargaining.
Now the independent New Seasons Labor Union is switching up its tactics. Since last November, it’s has been asking supporters to boycott all New Seasons stores. But on July 3 and 4, it’s asking supporters to wear red and return for a one-day “shop-in” to show the company that the public supports the roughly 1,000 workers at the 11 union stores. The boycott resumes the following day.
