To install a monument at Portland’s Roosevelt High School, Bricklayers Local 1 provided a volunteer crew of union and training center staff members April 17.
The stone monument was commissioned by the Roosevelt High School Alumni Association, and it lists the names of Roosevelt alumni who lost their lives in military service.
Volunteers included training center lead instructor Scott Fromm, training center coordinator Cameron Orvin, Local 1 rep Shane Salchenberg, and Local 1 organizer Salvador Fernandez.
