Workers rights will once again be on the ballot around the country this election. Voters in five states decide whether to increase the minimum wage, and two states are voting on paid sick leave:
- Alaska Ballot Measure 1 would increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 per hour and require employers to provide earned paid sick leave for employees.
- California Proposition 32 would increase the state’s minimum wage to $18 per hour.
- Massachusetts Question 5 would increase the minimum wage for tipped employees to meet the state’s standard minimum wage.
- Missouri Proposition A would increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 per hour and require employers to provide earned paid sick leave for employees.
- Nebraska Initiative 436 would require employers to provide earned paid sick leave for employees.
