Machinists District Lodge W24 at its annual awards banquet June 17 honored nearly 125 members for their years of service as union members, including six retirees who each have been members for more than 65 years. This was the first year since the pandemic the District Lodge has held the banquet, and members welcomed the chance to mingle with union brothers and sisters. Machinists Local 63 Recording Secretary John Kleiboeker, who received his 25-year pin at the banquet, said many retirees look forward to the event because it gives them a time to reconnect with former coworkers they may not get to see otherwise.
