The region’s biggest Labor Day picnic will have to wait another year. Northwest Oregon Labor Council hoped to return to Oaks Amusement Park, but numerous changes by park management made that impossible, and picnic organizers were unable to secure another location in time.

  1. Would like to see one of these picnics in northeast Oregon. Pendleton or Hermiston area. Umatilla county. Please include us since we are quite a distance from the ones listed.

  2. Hi Charles, I sent a message to the Eastern Oregon Central Labor Chapter and will update the list if I hear back from them about a picnic!

  3. I know that Hermiston is having a picnic on Saturday, September 24th. It is included in the list of picnics that you can register for at the top of this email.

However, I am in charge of 3 parties in Wallowa, Union, and Baker Counties and only the Enterprise information is correct. It is being held on September 24th, also. We will hold the La Grande event on the next day, Sunday, September 25th and the Baker City event on Saturday, October 1st. I am the Homecare Director for those 3 counties.
