Bob Tackett is retiring after 12 years as the executive secretary-treasurer of the Northwest Oregon Labor Council (NOLC). At NOLC’s April 25 meeting, delegates nominated three union members to succeed him. They are: Fiona Yau-Luu, who’s served as a political staffperson at UFCW Local 555 since May 2021; Eva Rippeteau, who’s served as political coordinator for Oregon AFSCME since 2010; and Thomas Spisak-Mosher, who served as Local 555’s government affairs director from August 2019 to November 2021.

NOLC’s executive board is inviting the three candidates are invited to May 9 meeting to talk about their ideas for the Council and find out what’s expected from them in the position.

To decide which of the three will serve out the remainder of Tackett’s term, an election will be held at NOLC’s May 23 monthly delegates meeting.
