President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh invited rank-and-file workers who’ve helped lead recent union campaigns to the White House May 5—including Amazon worker Christian Smalls, pictured above, who organized the first successful union drive at a Staten Island warehouse.
“You’re trouble, man,” Biden said as he gave Smalls a hug and a handshake.
“Yeah, I am,” Smalls said.
“My kind of trouble,” Biden replied.
The meeting included workers from Starbucks, REI, Seattle game maker Paizo, and the animation studio Titmouse.
