Jeffrey Washburn, a former president of the Cowlitz Wahkiakum Labor Council and the Longview/ Kelso Building Trades Council, died at his home Sept. 8 after battling cancer. He was 63.
Washburn was a 41-year member of the Plumbers and Fitters. He initiated into Longview Local 695 in March 1979. That local later merged into Local 26, where he served as a business agent for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa, and son, Jeffrey, in Castle Rock, Washington.
