Northwest Oregon Labor Council honored eight local individuals at its 24th Annual Labor Appreciation Dinner, which raises funds for Labor’s Community Service Agency. Top honors were:
- Heritage Award Jodi Guetzloe Parker, retired business rep at Laborers Local 737
- Del Ricks Community Service Award Michelle Batten, retired president of Portland Federation of School Professionsals
- Friend of Labor Award Don McIntosh, editor of the Northwest Labor Press
Also honored for their service to labor were:
- Tim Titus, business rep at IBEW Local 125
- Scott Lacey, conductor at Machinists Lodge 63
- Frank Goulard, president of Portland Community College Faculty Federation and Academic Professionals
- Uriah Chipman, business agent at Operating Engineers Local 701
- Howard Bell, secretary-treasurer at OPEIU Local 11
The sold-out event was held June 8 at the IBEW Local 48 hall.
