Cannabis candy makers at Gron Confections in Portland voted 11-2 to join the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 757 in ballots counted Jan. 8. The local will represent the production staff at Gron’s Portland facility at 5134 SE Foster Rd.
Gron Confections makes cannabis-infused chocolates, gummies, and other edibles. The business was founded and is headquartered in Oregon but now makes edibles in multiple states.
Local 757 represents more than 5,000 workers in Oregon. Most are transit workers, like bus drivers and light rail operators.
