Delegates to the Columbia-Pacific Building and Construction Trades Council elected Kevin Lux as executive secretary-treasurer Jan. 2. Lux, 37, is a journeyman inside wireman, a member of IBEW Local 48. He also serves as secretary-treasurer of the Southwest Washington Central Labor Council. Deken Letinich, a member of the executive board of Vancouver-based Laborers Local 335, also sought the position.
Executive secretary-treasurer is a full-time position representing the interests of over 20,000 union construction workers. Lux succeeds Willy Myers, who served in the role the last 10 years.
