Longtime union representative Donna Hammond has taken a leave of absence from her job at IBEW Local 48 to serve as interim director of Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc. starting Feb. 27.
Oregon Tradesomen is a nonprofit that prepares women for apprenticeship programs in the skilled trades.
Hammond comes aboard after the departure of executive director Kelly Kupcak, who led the group the last six years. Hammond is a founding member of the group and has served on its board.
