A group of 115 workers at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City have a new three-year contract. A majority of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 49-represented workers voted to ratify the contract in late June.
Workers get a 3.75% raise immediately, and 3% raises in both April 2023 and May 2024. The contract also includes raises for 31 job classifications that bring pay in line with wages at other Samaritan hospitals, Local 49 announced. According to Local 49, the average wage increase over the life of the contract is 22.48%, and some workers will be getting 23.9% raises in the first year alone.
