The Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) recently filed paperwork with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to represent workers at two Oregon hospitals.
ONA on June 30 asked for a union election for 40 technical employees at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) St. Anthony Hospital, an acute care facility with 25 beds in Pendleton. ONA currently represents registered nurses at the hospital.
Also on June 30, ONA filed to represent 30 nurse care managers at Providence St. Vincent in Portland. These workers would come into the existing bargaining unit of about 1,600 nurses at the hospital.
