U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, above, visited a strike picket line of Kellogg’s workers in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Oct. 27. About 1,400 Bakers Union members have been on strike at Kellogg’s nationwide since Oct. 5.
“I’m a 33-year member of Laborers Local 223 in Boston, Mass.” Walsh told strikers. “I want you to know that we ARE watching. You DO have support.”
Walsh was the second Biden cabinet member on a picket line last month: Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack visited striking John Deere workers Oct. 20 in Ankeny, Iowa. About 10,000 United Auto Workers members have been on strike at John Deere since Oct. 13.
