Marcy Grail, assistant to the business manager of IBEW Local 125, has been confirmed by the Oregon Senate to serve on the Energy Facility Siting Council. She will complete the unexpired term of John Mohlis, through June 30, 2018. Mohlis recently retired as executive director of the Oregon State Building Trades Council.
The seven-member Energy Facility Siting Council, appointed by the governor, has regulatory and siting responsibility for large electric generating facilities, high voltage transmission lines, gas pipelines, and radioactive waste disposal sites. Oversight of energy facilities helps ensure that Oregon has an adequate energy supply while protecting the environment and public safety.
Grail has worked at Local 125 for 10 years.
