Kulongoski wins AFL-CIO support
- The Oregon AFL-CIO endorsed Ted Kulongoski in the Democratic primary for governor.
12,000 homecare workers in Oregon
say 'Union Yes'
- In the largest public sector union victory in Oregon history, homecare workers employed by the State of Oregon decided in a December vote-by-mail election to join Service Employees International Union Local 503, Oregon Public Employees Union.
AFSCME Local 88 elects Rosenberger
- After a month of brown bag lunch debates, Multnomah County property tax appraiser Marla Rosenberger was elected Nov. 21 as president of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 88.
