Insulators Local 36 holds officer election by mail ballot

Heat & Frost Insulators Local 36 held a mail ballot election in December for several positions whose terms were up. Ron Mathis was re-elected treasurer and Joel Hendrickson was elected recording secretary, succeeding his wife, Jessica. Both are one-year terms.

Dave Gamble, Chase Black, and Dave Madden were re-elected to two-year terms on the Executive Board. They join current members John Marchi and Lincoln Caldwell.

Gabe Markowski ran unopposed for trustee. The term is for three years.

Mathis also is an elected business agent/organizer. His term, along with that of business manager Walt Caudle, expires next year. Both plan to run for re-election.

Local 36 conducted the election by mail because of Oregon’s COVID-19 restrictions on group gatherings. The union has not held a membership meeting since last March. The International has directed all locals to continue that practice through 2021.
