Travis Hopkins (right), president of Roofers Local 49, accepts a com-memorative U.S. flag from injured Iraq war veteran Sgt. Rob Boyce. Volunteers from the union re-roofed Boyce’s home in Keizer earlier this summer, and the flag was his way of saying ‘Thank you.’ The presentation was made Aug. 25 at the union’s annual picnic.
