U.S. House resolution recognizes Labor Press

Oregon Congressman David Wu (D-1st District), introduced a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives recognizing the 110th anniversary of the Oregon Labor Press Publishing Company, owner of the Northwest Labor Press.

House Resolution 1627 recognizes the Northwest Labor Press as “a national model for quality, in-depth reporting on labor issues” and “instrumental in providing news and information in print and online to workers and retirees around the Pacific Northwest that goes unreported by other media.”

The Northwest Labor Press was founded on Labor Day 1900 and has published without interruption for the past 110 years.

HR 1627 was referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. It has one co-sponsor, U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-3rd District).
